The Dish

Astralinks made the 5 hour drive from Sydney to Parkes, to do live crosses from the famous "Dish". Our 2.4m antenna paled into insignificance when compared to the 64m radio telescope.

All operations were halted at the Dish, while we were onsite, due to the fact that all our equipment, including the diesel generator, emit radio waves that can interfere with the highly sensitive equipment used for star gazing.

After a trouble free morning of live crosses, we were packed up and driving away within 15 minutes of our last commitment, allowing the radio telescope to get back to it's very important work as soon as possible.
